NLF launches several projects during March

Northern Light Foundation (NLF) launched several projects in Standerton during March 22.

These projects included the following actions: Introducing NLF’s animal shelter, cleaning actions and providing assistance to needy families.

During March 2022, NLF’s Animal shelter, was officially opened, the animal shelter, is managed in collaboration with Kromdraai kennels, currently the centre houses about 7 Dogs and 14 Cats, with 5 animals already adopted by community members.

During NLF’s weekly cleaning project at Standerton River Park, about 72 bags full of rubbish were picked up and removed from the park in March 2022.

During March 2022, NLF provided food and other necessary products to 10 struggling families living in Standerton. NLF would like to thank Standerton Oil Mills (PTY) LTD COFCO International as well as Standerton Super Spar for their assistance in assisting families in need.

NLF also cleared the field opposite Standerton Northmec Case during March 22, cutting the grass.

Furthermore, NLF provided assistance to host the Fun run during the Goldi-4-in-1 Race, funds that were donated during the Fun run will be used to build more shelters at the Animal shelter.

NLF also received a donation from Jeugkrag Primary School of more than R3000-00 during March 22, these funds will be used to care for feral cats in the town.

“The need in Standerton for community-driven initiatives is clearly visible, these types of projects can only receive the necessary attention if our community gets involved,” says Hillel Coetzer CEO of The Northern Light Foundation.
