NLF-Pilot Project Manna

Northern Light Foundation (NLF) officially launched Project Manna on April 7, 2022

The aim of this project is to provide assistance to needy families with food and clothing.

Since Desemeber 2020, the test phase of this project has been underway, where approximately 5 families have received assistance with food and clothing, most of these families’ breadwinners have lost their jobs due to unforeseen circumstances and the Covid 19 pandemic.

In February 2022 alone, food packages were donated to needy families to the value of approximately R12 000-00, NLF would like to thank Cofco International and Standerton Superspar for their contributions to this project.

To ensure this project grows faster, NLF has also launched a weekly food sales project in collaboration with The Guest House Standerton. Every Friday, NLF and The Guest house sell light meals to the public. A portion of the profits are again used to provide assistance to needy families.

“The project’s name has been chosen because just as the Manna provided to the Isreallites was a miracle, this project is also already a testament to how miracles can take place and we believe many more miracles will continue to produce,” says Hillel Coetzer CEO of The Northern Light Foundation.
