An overview of 2021 successes for NLF
Northern Light Foundation (NLF) launched their first community projects in Standerton during June 2021. In the past 7 months various projects were conducted in and around Standerton; including cleaning projects, fund raising for specific causes and painting dangerous crossings in and around Standerton.
Cleaning projects were launched by Northern Light Foundation in various areas; including a weekly clean up project at Standerton River Park. During the course of these cleaning projects more than 1254 bags of refuse was collected and removed.
Northern Light Project White stripe was launched where NLF focuses on painting roads and dangerous crossings in Standerton. More than 50 stop streets in Standerton were painted in the past 7 Months as well as numerous speed humps.
Northern Light Foundation also held a fundraising initiative for Louis Hildebrandt Orphanage which houses 106 children. During the course of this fundraising initiative various goods were delivered to the orphanage which included stationary, sanitary products and clothing for the children.
A special thanks to all our members, local businesses and other organizations working together to make Standerton a better place.
During the course of 2022 NLF is also planning to launch various new projects that will focus on animal welfare, community building and repairing roads and trimming trees causing electrical outages in and around town. NLF will still focus on painting roads, cleaning projects, as well as fundraising initiatives.
