NLF launches various projects during January

Northern Light Foundation (NLF) launched various projects in Standerton during January 2022. These projects included the following actions: painting of roads, cleaning projects, assistance offered to a needy family, as well as cutting grass into open fields.

During January 2022, phase one of Project White Stripe was completed in Beyers Naude Street between Joubert- and Stander Streets during which lines on the road were painted that were no longer visible in most places. Unfortunately, all the lines could not be painted because of the number of potholes on Beyers Naude Street.

NLF’s weekly cleaning project at Standerton River Park has been re-launched. In January alone, about 182 bags full of garbage were picked up and removed from the park. NLF also purchased new equipment to start cutting and cleaning fields.

NLF also provided food and other necessary products during January to a family living on a farm outside Standerton. The breadwinner of the Family lost his job due to Covid 19.

NLF is currently meeting with businesses and plans to launch a pothole project. Before the project is launched, NLF will aim to obtain the best product at the best price to repair our town’s potholes.
